Honeybees Natural Nursery Store is owned by me, Mandie Wright who has been known across Worcestershire as “The Real Nappy Lady” for over 6 years!

I have 2 children and developed my love and knowledge of natural products through bringing them up.

Like many 1st time parents 8 years ago I used the well branded products that insinuated that I would be a better mother to my newborn baby by doing so. I spent a fortune on disposable nappies and like many parents I put up with the leakages, the smell, the waste and the costs. I washed him in his bodywash which made his skin dryer than it should be and therefore I bought and used the associated baby lotion from the range and so things went on…That said he and I survived the experience but I put it down to a lesson learnt so when I had my youngest child I did things differently using toiletries without unnecessary chemicals, toys that were designed to not only stimulate and provide my children with new experiences but would last and clothing that had an ethical background and finding out about real nappies.

Real nappy addiction hit home and I joined Lollipop Children’s Products as an advisor and with support from Worcestershire County Council we soon got real nappy promotion started across the two counties. I have been promoting, selling and supporting families and organisations with their real nappy usage for 6 years now and am proud to see how large the activities have grown - the first nappachino in the county was in my living room nearly 6 years ago and now they are all over the county!

I have been fortunate during these past years to have worked as a member of the management team at Lollipop training up other advisors as well as working with the local health visitors, midwives, Surestart teams and NCT groups all whilst remaining at home bringing up my family. But when my youngest child started at big school in September 2006 we decided I needed to get a proper job and so Honeybees Natural Nursery Store was born.

We are nowhere near “Perfectly Natural” or “Dark Green” (more pastel green!!) in my family but I feel as parents we have given our children the best start in their lives.

Honeybees is truly a family orientated store. The name is a combination of my children’s nicknames, most of the staff are Mothers who use the products that we sell and the weekday opening hours are such that I can still take and collect my children from school (9.30am-2.30pm) and therefore still be there for them. We open all day (9am-5pm) on Saturdays but we will not open on Sundays or bank holidays.

When you call in you will be guaranteed a smile, a chat, good honest advice and if you are lucky a cup of coffee! We look forwards to meeting you and your family soon.
