Studies have shown that up to 60% of a substance will be absorbed by the body when applied to the skin. At Honeybees we feel that an expectant Mother should be able to follow her natural urge to protect and nurture her growing baby bump at the same time as looking after her own body as naturally and organically as possible without compromising on the pamper factor! Following the baby's birth many Mothers will choose to breast feed their baby and again consideration should be taken regarding what they eat and use on their skin to best benefit their growing child. A newborn and young child’s skin is very delicate and care should be taken when choosing toiletry products for the bath, the skin and hair. A child’s irritated skin or hair can quite possibly be due to toiletries being too harsh for their developing skin to cope with. A range of natural and organic toiletries are sold in Honeybees including Green People for babies, older children, Mums and Dads that are not made with Lanolin, Petrochemicals, Parabens, SLS, SLES or artificial fragrances that are found in many of today's toiletries. We also have the organic Earth Friendly range which are affordable quality products for both babies and children and the Organic Blue range for the Dads. Note: it is usual to find that natural toiletries use less water in their products and so less is needed making the bottles last longer and less waste produced.
